Whoa nelly, I know I’ve been posting about TV an awful lot lately, but this was such a remarkable and sudden transformation that I thought the reading public should be immediately informed.
What gives with the omnipresent Jackie O’s sudden 50s inspired makeover?
She’s gone from your typical FM duds (blah blah skinny jeans, blah blah metallic tops, blah blah I leave a dog on the roof of my car in a hilarious ad demonstrating the superior handling of the Ford automobile) to blouses, full skirts, voluminous cocktail dresses and snappy heels, with narry an explanation.
I mean, it’s not like she’s going for a less tarty career. She just took on the role of hosting Big Brother (IT’S NEW SEE KYLE’S ON IT AND HE’S GOING TO REVOLUTIONISE CHANNEL TEN ETC ETC) after all. Is there some kind of Sandra Dee loving stylist on board? Has Jackie just watched Audrey Hepburn scooting around on a vespa in Roman Holiday and had a life-changing epiphany?
As Whitney Houston would say, this is whack (possibly like crack). I looked for a pic but none seem to be available; it’s mostly a televisual phenomenon at this stage.
Has anyone else noticed this extreme makeover? Have other celebrities had a sudden desire to dress retro, come what may? I didn’t see this coming from Madame Sandilands, that’s for sure.
